Compliance Program
The purpose of the NEMHS Compliance Program is to effectively prevent, detect, and correct fraud, waste, and abuse, while at the same time furthering the fundamental mission of the organization: providing compassionate quality care to each patient.
Compliance is not just about abiding by rules and regulations; it also involves setting up best practices in patient care documentation, billing, and quality of care. Embedded in the culture of NEMHS is that compliance is the responsibility of every employee.
The Compliance Program is annually assessed reviewing the compliance officer, the compliance committee, written standards of conduct; policies and procedures; training; enforcement; auditing and monitoring; and investigation and remediation.
If you have any questions, please contact NEMHS’ Compliance Officer at 207-510-0073, ext 106 or compliance@nemhs.com.
